A lovely country pub steeped in history, located on Beauty Bank in Whitegate. The Plough Inn was first mentioned as an inn back in 1869 and was a beer house before that. We are set just off the Whitegate Way, which makes us popular with walkers and cyclists alike.

We have several walking guides at the pub, which take in some historic and picturesque sites, which include the Vale Royal Locks, Petty Pool, which is designated a site of scientific interest (SSI) and some of the former Delamere Estate. These walks are available as printouts in the pub, if you fancied taking a walk before coming in to enjoy some well-earned food and drink.

We pride ourselves on offering a range of quality cask ales and beers, an extensive selection of wines along with a menu packed full of mouth-watering dishes and daily specials for you to enjoy with friends and family.
